Background


It didn't start on the web, it started in industry. After technical college in Kapfenberg — electrical engineering and plant construction — I worked at Knapp in Leoben from 2019 to 2023: first on the visualisation of entire warehouse facilities, then in automation engineering for the transport robots that move through them.

You learn one thing there fast: software that runs in production isn't allowed to work “most of the time”. If a shuttle stops, the warehouse stops — and someone picks up the phone. I took that standard with me when I founded DJ Web Systems.

Today I build websites, platforms and automation for clubs and businesses in Styria. For the Kapfenberg Bulls of the Austrian basketball league I'm the IT and digitalisation partner: ticket sales with an interactive seating plan, QR-code entry control, member management with more than 1,800 records, a fan shop — built single-handedly, from the first sketch to match day.

Why your data never leaves the EU.

Anyone looking after a member list with thousands of records cannot simply hope that some legal framework will hold. That's why your data sits on servers in the EU, analytics run cookie-free on my own infrastructure, and even the fonts are served locally instead of being pulled from a US provider. That's effort you can't see in the finished site — which is exactly why I'm writing it down here.
